The other woman in the page (dumpling hair do) is her personal family servant. Kathryn is sending her away (with the Sexaroid who you'll see has been altered with magic to be the servant's new lover) since she is seemingly the only person who knows her true nature (hence removing the one chance somebody could find out about Kathryn's true nature by sending her servant away). However, in Issue Two, you see that there is someone else who knows Kathryn's true form and becomes her rival.

This is Kathryn reflecting on their love while she's making love to a Sexaroid copy she bought of her lover.

For about a year before the series started she's only been able to be true to this copy of Alicia, and make love to her in her feral form which she fears doing to the real Alicia because her people's nature makes them aggressive sexually (she bites down hard on the Sexaroid during sex drawing blood) and during release she "tags" her lover scent wise marking her as her mate in this form.

Basically Kathryn thinks Alicia would be turned off by her real self despite the fact Alicia's been dreaming of her lover's true form for months, and has come to accept her.

As the scene opens Alicia has just woken up from her dream concerning Kathryn, but it's so vivid it's almost as if the girl she made love to is just a breath away if only she closes her eyes and she'd be there.

In truth she's not the only one thinking of her significant other, so is Kathryn but we flash forward to the morning of when Kathryn is supposed to move into their house.
